The meta "description tag on every page is very important to your search results display. It affects your click-ability. If you go over the word count you will be mercilessly cut off in the middle of a sentence. If you don't add a description at all, Google, Yahoo and the other search engines will randomly select bits of text snatched up by the bots and crawlers.
